The new FastFit socket has been developed by the German manufacturer Bender + Wirth in cooperation with PHILIPS and easies the replacement of the lamp combined with a safe and secure fit. The FastFit system can be seen as a kind of bayonet base, the lamp is clamped by a quarter turn.
Not yet available is the 1200W halogen lamp of the HiBrite-series with FastFit from PHILIPS. This lamp has been demonstrated to us last week as an unlabeled prototype.
Most fixture manufacturers will present their new systems based on these lamps on Plaza Show in London on week 37.

OSRAM HBOOSRAM HBO mercury short-arc lamps in the lower power range up to 200 Watts are mainly used in fluorescence microscopy and endoscopy, holographic display and UV hardening. Starting at 350W these lamps are almost exclusively used for microchip productions in microlithography.
