Made in Japan: the products of the traditional company Koto, formerly manufactured under the name Tungsram, have been a strong brand in the entertainment sector worldwide for decades.
Technically unchanged, both the halogen and metal halide lamps (DI and DIS) are a real alternative to the light sources from Osram and Tungsram, e.g. the HMI and CP light sources.
The DIS lamps have a colour temperature (6,000 K) that is very close to natural daylight - making them ideal for both digital and analogue film production.
The flicker-free DI lamps are equipped with a hot restart capability and also have a colour temperature of 6,000 K and impress with a very high light output - perfect for film scenes with high light quality.
In addition, the single- and double-ended daylight lamps as well as the tungsten lamps are the optimal light source for Mole Richardson, Filmgear, DedoLight and LTM spotlights. ARRI, a world-renowned manufacturer of TV and cine equipment, strongly recommends Koto lamps.
