Ushio's SMR-202/D1 is part of the famous EmArc series, which combines a wide variety of inert gases and metal additives to provide precise and powerful light at small arc gaps.
The lamp has 2 times the luminous efficacy of a xenon lamp and 2 to 5 times the life.
It is designed for use in medical, scientific, industrial and entertainment applications.
These include:

• Applications such as searchlights, tracking spots, special effects and automated spotlights.
• Lighting in minimally invasive surgery, curing of photosensitive resins and adhesives, and tooth whitening processes
